A 22-year-old man, along with his associates, has been arrested for hacking a history-sheeter named Chezhian to death near Red Hills in Chennai. The suspect, identified as Sathish Kumar, surrendered to the police on Tuesday morning, along with three others.

According to the police, the incident took place on Monday night when Chezhian was returning from work. He was attacked by a gang wielding knives, resulting in his death. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Chezhian had a criminal record. He had previously been arrested for the murder of a man named Prabhakaran in 2001 and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. However, he was released on bail three years ago and had been working at a private company since then.

The prime accused, Sathish Kumar, is the son of Prabhakaran, the man Chezhian had killed in 2001. Sathish Kumar and his three associates named Vishal, Appu, and Mahesh surrendered at the Red Hills police station. All four have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.

This incident highlights the cycle of violence and revenge that can occur within criminal networks. The motive behind the murder appears to be the desire for retribution for the death of Sathish Kumar’s father. It is a tragic reminder of the consequences of unresolved conflicts and the need for effective measures to break the cycle of violence.

The police are continuing their investigation to gather more evidence and determine the full extent of the involvement of the suspects in Chezhian’s murder. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing the root causes of criminal behavior and implementing measures to prevent such acts of violence in the future.
