17-Year-Old Robert McIntosh Identified as Victim in Owen Sound Homicide Investigation

A third suspect is now facing charges in connection with an ongoing murder investigation in Owen Sound. The Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) and the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested a 17-year-old from Brampton and charged them with First Degree Murder.

The incident took place in the early hours of July 11, 2023, at an apartment complex on 6th Avenue West. Police responded to reports of a shooting and discovered the lifeless body of 17-year-old Robert McIntosh, who was believed to be the target of the attack.

The accused, along with two other individuals, are currently being held in custody until a bail hearing can be arranged. All three face charges of First-Degree Murder.

The investigation is being led by the OSPS Crime Unit, in collaboration with the OPP West Region Crime Prevention and Investigations, OSPS and OPP Forensic Identification Services, the OPP Regional Support Team, and other agencies involved in the case. The Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are also assisting.
