Three people have died and two others have been injured after being hit by a vehicle belonging to the district magistrate of Madhepura in Bihar’s Madhubani district. The accident occurred on National Highway 57 near Purwari Tola under Phulparas police station. Fortunately, the district magistrate, Vijay Prakash Meena, was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The deceased have been identified as Gudiya Kumari, aged 35, her five-year-old daughter, and an NHAI employee who was working on the highway. The deaths have been confirmed by Madhubani district magistrate, Arvind Kumar.

The injured individuals, Ashok Kumar Singh and Rajesh Kumar Singh from Rajasthan, are currently receiving treatment at Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital.
The vehicle was traveling from Darbhanga towards Madhepura when it first collided with a woman and her child before hitting the laborers who were conducting road maintenance work. The vehicle subsequently crashed into a roadside railing.
Following the incident, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. As a result, locals became agitated and blocked NH 57, ultimately vandalizing the car.
This tragic accident has left the community in shock and has raised concerns about road safety. It is essential for drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such unfortunate incidents from occurring.
