Three People Dead, One Injured in Colorado Shooting Incident; Suspect Identified

Police in southern Colorado are on the hunt for a suspect after a shooting incident left three people dead and one person injured. The incident, which occurred on Monday afternoon, is believed to have stemmed from a dispute over property lines.

The shooter opened fire on a group of five individuals around 1 p.m., according to Custer County Sheriff Lloyd “Rich” Smith. Two men and a woman were killed in the attack, while another woman sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest but is expected to survive. A fifth person managed to escape unharmed.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 45-year-old Hanme K. Clarke. Sheriff Smith revealed that the suspect and at least one of the victims had previously been involved in civil disputes over property lines, although no further details were provided.

The shooting took place in a wooded area of Custer County, a rural part of the state with a population of just over 5,000 residents. As law enforcement agencies conducted a search for the suspect, a shelter-in-place order was issued to residents in the surrounding area.

The suspect, believed to be driving a white Dodge Ram pickup truck, was the subject of an intense manhunt. Sheriff Smith announced that they had a strong lead on the suspect’s location and were coordinating with another law enforcement agency to apprehend him.

This is an ongoing investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward. The incident has shocked the tight-knit community, and residents are being urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
