Three Killed in Car Accident on National Highway 57 near Purwari Tola, Madhubani District: Gudia Devi, 28, and her Daughter, Ashok Shah Identified as Victims

Three people, including a woman and a child, were tragically killed when a speeding car with a license plate reading “DM, Madhepura” crashed into them on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on National Highway 57 near Purwari Tola, under the jurisdiction of Phulparas police station in Madhubani district, located in northern Bihar.

The car, which was headed from Patna to Madhepura, was a white SUV with the registration number BR-43E0005. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle first struck a woman and her child before running over a laborer who was working on road maintenance. Unfortunately, all three victims died at the scene, while another injured person was rushed to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Efforts to reach the District Magistrate of Madhepura, Vijay Prakash Meena, for comment were unsuccessful.

The deceased individuals have been identified as Gudia Devi, a 28-year-old woman, her seven-year-old daughter, and laborer Ashok Shah. Another laborer named Raju Singh sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical care.

It remains unclear whether the District Magistrate was inside the car during the incident. However, villagers present at the scene alleged that the DM, accompanied by a bodyguard and the driver, fled on a motorcycle following the accident. Subsequently, the Madhubani district administration arranged for the removal of the car from the accident site.

This tragic event has left the local community in shock and mourning. Authorities are expected to initiate an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
