At least one person was killed and three others injured in a shooting at a Walmart store in Beavercreek, Ohio, according to WHIO-TV. The incident took place at the Walmart on Pentagon Boulevard, and the Greene County Coroner’s Office confirmed their presence at the scene. The Beavercreek Police Department announced on Facebook that they were at the scene but assured the public that there was no active threat. The store was subsequently cleared and secured.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations has been requested to help process the scene, and the Greene County Coroner’s Office is also present. Walmart released a statement expressing their sadness over the incident and stated that they were cooperating with investigators.

The Beavercreek Police Department responded to the incident at around 8:30 p.m. EST. Soin Medical Center received three victims from the scene, but their condition remains unknown.
This Walmart location has experienced tragedy before. In 2014, John Crawford III was shot and killed by a police officer at the same store. A 911 caller had reported seeing Crawford carrying what appeared to be a rifle, which was later identified as a pellet gun he had picked up from the store. The incident resulted in a wrongful death lawsuit, and the city of Beavercreek settled with Crawford’s family for $1.7 million in 2020.
