Mother Killed While Trying to Save Son from Mob in UP
Siddharth Nagar: A 58-year-old woman lost her life in the Shohratgarh area of Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharth Nagar district while attempting to protect her son from a violent mob.

Police have apprehended two suspects and are working to identify others involved in the attack, which occurred on Monday.
According to authorities, Shanno Bano’s son, Mohammed Saleem, 29, was accused of stealing a mobile phone and was being assaulted by a group near their residence.
Shanno rushed to her son’s aid but was struck in the head by the mob. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Garvit Singh, the police circle officer in Shohratgarh, stated that based on surveillance footage and witness statements, two individuals named Amit Kumar and Imran Khan have been arrested. Efforts to apprehend the remaining culprits are ongoing.

The police reported that the woman’s husband was away at work when she heard her son’s cries for help from inside their home.
“The woman hurried outside and placed herself between the attackers and her son. She was struck on the head with a stick and fell to the ground in a pool of blood,” added the police officer.
Locals transported her to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
Mohammed Hamidullah, the victim’s husband, was informed of his wife’s tragic demise.
The incident has sparked outrage in the area, with residents demanding strict action against the perpetrators. The police have assured the community that they will take stern measures against those responsible.
