Man Identified as Anthony Leal Dies in Stabbing Incident in Vista; Suspect Arrested

A man has been killed and another seriously injured in a stabbing incident in Vista, California, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing on Palomar Place around 11 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, they found two male victims with multiple stab wounds. Despite receiving medical aid, one of the victims, 31-year-old Anthony Leal from Escondido, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, 31-year-old Adan Salazar from Vista, sustained stab wounds to his upper torso and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

The Sheriff’s Office identified 30-year-old Daniel Rosas, a resident of Vista, as a possible suspect in the stabbing. Rosas was apprehended by deputies on Monday and is now facing charges of murder and attempted murder. The motive behind the attack and the relationship between Rosas and the victims are still under investigation.
