Gang of Six Men Attacks Criminal on Police Records in Pune

A gang of six men hacked a criminal on police records and attacked his aide with sharp weapons in Pune. The incident occurred on the terrace of a four-storied building in Ganesh Peth in the early hours of Monday. The attack was a result of an old rivalry between the deceased, identified as Siddharth Hadge, and the attackers.

The deceased was 30-year-old Siddharth Hadge, while his friend, Somesh Chavan, is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Doctors have stated that Chavan is out of danger. Akshay Amrale, another friend of the duo, lodged a complaint with the police. All three individuals are residents of Ganesh Peth.

The Faraskhana police have identified all six attackers, including some criminals on police records. Senior inspector Dadasaheb Chudappa stated that Hadge had four previous offenses and the police were preparing to extern him from Pune city limits. Investigations revealed that he had an ongoing rivalry with the attackers, as he had made derogatory comments about them recently.

The incident occurred when Hadge, Chavan, and Amrale, who were all unemployed, were chatting in front of the building after dinner. The gang of six men arrived at the scene with sharp weapons, prompting Hadge and Chavan to run into the building and onto the terrace. Amrale sought shelter in another building nearby.

The assailants pursued Hadge and Chavan to the terrace, where they cornered them and launched a brutal assault. Hadge succumbed to his injuries, while Chavan survived and is currently receiving medical treatment.

According to Chudappa, all six attackers have been identified, and some of them have criminal records. They are known to work odd jobs. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.

In other news, Google’s Threat Analysis Group recently identified and resolved a security vulnerability that targeted government organizations in Pakistan, Greece, Moldova, Tunisia, and Vietnam. Two men have been arrested for firing at and robbing a jeweler in Pune, and two wanted criminals were held and injured in an encounter with the police in Yamunanagar, Haryana.
