Five People Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Bihar’s Gopalganj, Including Sikandar Sah, Suresh Ram, Tinku Ram, Rohit Sharma, and Jhagru Raman

In a shocking incident in Bihar’s Gopalganj, at least five people have died under suspicious circumstances, officials revealed on Monday. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sadar Pradeep Kumar stated that the deaths were not due to poisonous liquor and that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. The deceased individuals have been identified as Sikandar Sah, Suresh Ram, Tinku Ram, Rohit Sharma, and Jhagru Raman. Jhagru Ram, a resident of Baikunthpur, reportedly died of a heart attack, while Suresh Ram’s death was attributed to food poisoning. The cause of death for the other individuals will be determined through the post-mortem report.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the deaths. This incident comes just days after three people died and another was hospitalized following the consumption of spurious liquor in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district. Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the sale of counterfeit alcohol.

According to a police statement, officers were alerted to the situation after receiving information that two individuals were undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Sitamarhi. Unfortunately, by the time the police arrived, one person had already passed away. The exact cause of death will be determined through a post-mortem examination.

With these incidents of mysterious deaths and spurious liquor consumption, concerns are rising about the availability and sale of illicit alcohol in Bihar. Authorities and law enforcement agencies are working diligently to identify the culprits behind these incidents and take appropriate action.

This news comes at a time when Bihar has also witnessed violence during the Chhath Puja celebration, with a family being shot at in Lakhisarai over a reported “love affair,” resulting in two deaths.
