Five Deaths in Patna: Victims and Causes Revealed

Five deaths in the Baikunthpur police station area of Gopalganj have been reported by the district magistrate, Dr Nawal Kishore Chaudhary. The deaths, which occurred over three days, were initially believed to be caused by consuming spurious liquor. However, the DM has stated that the deaths were due to various other issues.

The deceased individuals have been identified as Sikandar Sah, Suresh Ram, Tinku Ram, Rohit Sharma, and Jhagru Rai. Their deaths occurred under suspicious circumstances in different villages of Baikunthpur block.

According to the DM and SP Swarn Prabhat, two deaths occurred on November 18. One of the individuals had a pre-existing heart condition, while the cause of the other death was food poisoning. On November 19, two more deaths were reported, with one being due to a heart attack and the other caused by food poisoning. The final death occurred in Patna on November 20, after the individual had been receiving treatment for three days. The cause of death will be determined once the postmortem report is available.

The SP explained that Rohit’s death on November 18 appeared to be a suicide by consuming poison, while Jhagru died the same day from a heart attack. Suresh’s death was attributed to food poisoning, and Sikandar died after an asthma attack on November 19. Tinku, who had been undergoing treatment in Patna, passed away on November 20.

It is important to note that the DM’s statement contradicts the initial belief that the deaths were caused by consuming spurious liquor. The authorities are awaiting the postmortem reports to determine the exact causes of death.

In other news, a tragic incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh, where three children accidentally consumed rat poison thrown by a monkey. One child lost their life, while the others are currently receiving medical treatment.

Additionally, two officials in Bhopal died of cardiac arrest the day before voting in the region. The state’s chief electoral officer expressed condolences for the unfortunate incident.

In Chennai and Tiruvallur districts of Tamil Nadu, heavy rainfall led to a holiday being declared for all schools on November 15. The Indian Regional Metrology Department has forecasted heavy rain for various districts in the state over the next four days.
