Decomposed Body of Missing 18-Year-Old Avesh Sheikh Found in Thane District

The decomposed body of an 18-year-old man who went missing last week in Mumbra, Maharashtra’s Thane district, has been discovered by local police. The body was found in the bushes of Jubilee Park after passers-by noticed it on Monday and immediately alerted authorities. Officials suspect foul play and have sent the body for postmortem examination at a nearby hospital. Alongside the body, a stone and a pair of scissors were also found.

The victim, identified as Avesh Sheikh, resided in the Amrut Nagar locality of Mumbra and frequently visited his uncle in the Jubilee Park area. Sheikh had been missing since November 14. The police have registered a murder case against unknown individuals and are currently investigating the motive behind the killing.
