Brutal Murder in Karachi: Shehzadi and Nawab Khan Fall Victim to Gruesome Attack

A brutal murder took place in the Pashtun locality of Khairabad in Manghopir, Karachi, on Sunday night. Shehzadi, a young widow, and her relative, Nawab Khan, were found alone in her room and fell victim to a heinous act of violence committed by their own community. The assailant, Ali Khan, nephew of Nawab Khan, surrendered himself to the police and confessed to the crime.

The Karachi Police swiftly responded to the incident and transported the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital using Edhi and Chippa ambulances. According to the medico-legal report and Ali Khan’s confession, the victims were first bludgeoned with iron pipes, sustaining severe blows to their eyes and heads, before being shot multiple times at close range.

The victims were identified as 25-year-old Nawab Khan, son of Hakeem Khan, and 30-year-old widow Shehzadi, who was previously married to Sher Gul. Shehzadi had been widowed a year and a half ago, leaving her with three daughters and a son. Despite offers for remarriage, she had chosen to dedicate her life to her children. Both Shehzadi and Nawab Khan were from the same family and tribe in Waziristan, which raised suspicions among other relatives about their relationship.

It was revealed that the deceased often shared a room at night and on the fateful night, Nawab Khan visited Shehzadi’s house. This visit led to a gruesome attack by Ali Khan, the nephew of the victims, and other relatives. The assailants brutally tortured the victims with an iron pipe before shooting them in the face and eyes.

After a unanimous decision by the relatives, Ali Khan reported the incident to the police and surrendered at the crime scene. The police apprehended him, collected evidence, and transferred the bodies for legal proceedings. Witnesses described a horrific scene, with the victims’ organs displayed on the room’s wall alongside bloodstains.

This shocking incident has left the community in shock and raises concerns about the prevalence of violence within close-knit communities. The police are conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the motive behind this brutal murder.
