Officer Fisher from the Plymouth Police Department has arrested two individuals in separate cases on Sunday, November 19th.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, at around 1:20 am, Officer Fisher pulled over a speeding vehicle on U.S. 30 in the westbound lanes. The driver, Troy Winandy, aged 51 and from Indianapolis, was found to have a warrant issued by Newton County for Reckless Driving. He was immediately taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail. Winandy now faces charges for Reckless Driving and is being held without bond due to the warrant from Newton County.

Later in the evening, at approximately 10:13 pm, Officer Fisher conducted another traffic stop for speeding, this time near the intersection of Michigan and Laporte Streets. The driver, Jorge Terrones, aged 37 and residing on East Lake Avenue in Plymouth, was discovered to have a prior suspension on his driving record. Consequently, he was arrested and taken to Marshall County Jail. Terrones has been booked on charges of Driving While Suspended, with a prior offense within the last 10 years.
It is important to note that the charging information, supported by an affidavit of probable cause, is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed. Both Winandy and Terrones are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. They have the right to legal representation and are entitled to a fair trial by jury. The State must provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt to secure a conviction.
