Hammond Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 23-year-old man from Ponchatoula. The warrant was issued for Jack Smith, who has been identified as one of the shooters involved in an incident at Legend’s Sports Bistro and Billiards. Smith is wanted on charges of two counts of attempted second-degree murder, one count of illegally discharging a weapon, and five counts of aggravated criminal damage to property.
Efforts have been made by the Hammond Police, with the assistance of Ponchatoula Police, to apprehend Smith at his residence and workplace. However, their attempts have been unsuccessful thus far. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
