Vijayawada: A tragic incident occurred in Andhra Pradesh as a 35-year-old techie suffered a fatal heart attack following India’s defeat against Australia in the ICC World Cup 2023 final. Jyotish Kumar Yadav, a software engineer, was watching the match with a group of friends during his Diwali holidays when he suddenly collapsed.

Yadav was immediately rushed to the Sri Venkatestwara Ramanarain Ruia government hospital in Tirupati, but unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival. His friends revealed that Yadav experienced extreme tension and anxiety as India’s batting concluded, with the team scoring only 240 runs. Although he initially felt joy when Australia lost three wickets, his condition worsened as the opposition approached the target.

Following this tragic incident, Mohith Reddy, the chairman of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority, visited Yadav’s family to offer his condolences. Reddy also assured the family that the state government would provide them with necessary support during this difficult time.

In the final match held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Australia emerged victorious, securing their sixth ICC World Cup title.
