In another tragic incident, a cricket fan named Jyoti Kumar Yadav from Tirupati suffered a heart attack and passed away while watching the intense India vs Australia final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Jyoti, a 32-year-old software engineer, collapsed during the match and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Despite the efforts, he was declared dead on arrival, leaving his family in shock. Jyoti had recently completed his Master’s in Computer Applications and was working for a software company.
Turning to the match itself, after losing the toss, team India could only manage to score 240 runs in their 50 overs before getting bowled out on the last ball of the innings. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli played crucial innings, scoring half-centuries, while Rohit Sharma provided a strong start with 47 runs off 31 balls. Australia, on the other hand, faced early struggles at 47/3, but Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head turned the game around with a match-winning partnership. Head’s brilliant knock of 137 runs propelled Australia to victory in just 43 overs.
