Woman Constable Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances in Bulandshahr

MEERUT: A 25-year-old woman constable with UP police was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances at her in-laws’ house in Siyana area of Bulandshahr, according to the police on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Chanchal, had recently given birth to a baby boy and was on maternal leave. She was married to police constable Kuldeep Kumar in 2022, and both were posted in Pilibhit.

On Monday morning, Chanchal was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her in-laws’ house. Her family alleges foul play, claiming that she had been killed and her body hanged to make it look like suicide.

Circle Officer Bhaskar Kumar Mishra stated that a case has been registered against three individuals: Chanchal’s husband, Kuldeep, her father-in-law, Jasvir Singh, and her mother-in-law, Gajendri Devi.

“The body has been sent for postmortem. Investigation is underway, and legal action will be taken accordingly,” said Mishra.
