Wayne Everett Tweed Suspected of Intentionally Setting House on Fire Resulting in Death of Elizabeth Bell

Phoenix police are appealing to the public for help in finding a suspect believed to have deliberately started a house fire that resulted in the death of an 86-year-old woman. The fire occurred on Thursday in north Phoenix, near 38th Avenue and Loop 101.

The suspect has been identified as Wayne Everett Tweed, a 59-year-old man. He is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, and having brown hair, blue eyes, and several tattoos. A photo of Tweed has been released by the police.

Firefighters responded to the scene at around 1:35 p.m. on Thursday. They discovered the body of Elizabeth Bell inside the house after extinguishing the blaze. Authorities are treating her death as a homicide and are conducting a thorough investigation.
