Suspect at Large after Shooting in Lenoir City

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – An individual is currently being pursued by authorities following a shooting incident in Lenoir City, as confirmed by the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office. James Burch, the man in question, is considered both armed and dangerous, according to Chief Deputy Zac Frye.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, with Frye mentioning that the victim, who is now in stable condition, has been transferred to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The shooting incident took place on Martel Road within the 22000 block.

Burch made his escape from the scene in a white van, Frye revealed, and law enforcement officers are actively engaged in a search operation to locate and apprehend him. Any individual with information regarding this case is urged to contact the Loudon County E-911 Center at 865-458-9081.

The authorities have issued a warning to the public to exercise caution and remain vigilant, as Burch is considered armed and should not be approached under any circumstances. The ongoing investigation is being conducted with the utmost urgency, as the suspect remains at large.
