Hanceville Teenager Dakota R. Lamons Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident

A teenager from Hanceville, Alabama, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on Thursday night. The victim, Dakota R. Lamons, aged 19, was riding his bicycle along Alabama Highway 91 near County Road 501 when he was struck by a vehicle. Shockingly, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving Lamons to suffer alone. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m., approximately 8 miles south of Hanceville.

According to the Alabama State Troopers, Lamons was thrown from his bicycle due to the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. The authorities have provided limited information about the vehicle responsible for the hit-and-run. They believe it to be a white Chevrolet Silverado or a GMC Sierra, manufactured between 2007 and 2014. The vehicle’s passenger-side black mirror is missing, which could aid in its identification.
