The incident took place on April 12 in the 6900 block of Northwest 21st Court. Authorities responded to a ShotSpotter alert and discovered Nathan Holloway, 46, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Holloway was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, investigative efforts have revealed that Holloway was outside his residence when an unknown individual approached him on foot. The assailant then brandished a firearm and fired multiple shots before fleeing on foot and eventually escaping in a vehicle.
To aid in the investigation, the police department has released the surveillance video in the hope that someone may recognize the person seen fleeing the scene. No arrests have been made thus far, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
