“Bridgewater Motorcyclist, 18, Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Bedford St: Remembering Percy Lewis III”

An 18-year-old motorcyclist has been killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Percy Lewis III, a recent high school graduate, was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead. Lewis was a member of the track team and his family have set up a GoFundMe page.

An 18-year-old motorcyclist from Bridgewater, Massachusetts lost his life in a multi-vehicle crash on Bedford Street last Thursday. Percy Lewis III was operating a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle when the accident occurred. Bridgewater officials responded to the scene and found Lewis lying in the road with severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The Bridgewater Police Department, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), and the Raynham Police’s Accident Reconstruction Unit are currently investigating the incident. The two other drivers involved in the crash remained on the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Percy Lewis III was a recent graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School and a member of the track team. He was one of four siblings born to Gabrielle and Percy II, and his younger brother Breydan is a star running back on the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School freshmen football team. Percy’s father was the co-founder of the Brockton Raiders, a nonprofit youth football group, and Percy himself was a member of their first team. The organization expressed their condolences on Facebook, stating that Percy was a critical part of the team’s success.

The loss of Percy Lewis III comes as another tragedy for the Brockton Raiders. Just last Saturday, one of their players, Jovanni Perez, was shot and killed in Fall River. In July, the organization lost two brothers, Terry Boston Jr. and Makhi Boston, in a fatal car accident in Randolph.

A GoFundMe page has been created to support the Lewis family during this difficult time. The fundraiser aims to raise $20,000 to assist with the unexpected funeral expenses. The community has already donated over $12,000.
