Prof. Alice Shalvi, founder of ISRWN and a champion for gender equality and education, has passed away. She established Pelech, a religious girls’ school in Jerusalem, and served as a mentor and inspiration to many in the NIF family.

We are deeply saddened to report the passing of Prof. Alice Shalvi, founder of the Israel Women’s Network (ISRWN), at the age of 94. The news of her demise was announced by the New Israel Fund UK on their official Twitter account. The cause of her death is currently unknown.
