San Francisco police have released body camera footage from officers involved in a recent deadly shooting of a man allegedly armed with a knife. The video, which was made public on Thursday, provides a detailed account of the events leading up to the fatal encounter.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, when officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the city’s Mission District. Upon arrival, they encountered a 32-year-old man who was reportedly armed with a knife and acting aggressively. The officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, giving verbal commands for the man to drop the weapon.
