RIPON, NORTH YORKSHIRE – A devastating collision involving two cars and a double-decker bus on the A61 has resulted in the untimely deaths of Daria Bartienieva, 35, her son, Ihor Bartienieva, aged six, and her stepdaughter, Anastasiia Bartienieva, aged 15. According to the North Yorkshire Police, the fatal crash took place between South Stainley and Ripley, near Ripon, at approximately 2:20 pm. Ms Bartienieva and her two children were traveling together in a silver Vauxhall Meriva when the collision occurred. The Vauxhall Meriva, along with a blue Toyota Aygo, collided with a double-decker bus traveling in the opposite direction.

Tragically, all three occupants of the Vauxhall Meriva, including Daria Bartienieva, Ihor Bartienieva, and Anastasiia Bartienieva, lost their lives as a result of the collision. The driver of the bus sustained leg injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the two individuals in the Toyota Aygo escaped unharmed.

North Yorkshire Police revealed on Tuesday that the Bartienieva family hails from Ukraine and had been residing in Ripon. The entire community, as well as friends and neighbors, have been left heartbroken by this devastating loss.
