Homeless Man Arrested for Sexual Assault on Teenage Girl in Burbank
A 42-year-old homeless man has been arrested and charged for the sexual assault of a teenage girl as she was walking home from school late last week in Burbank, authorities announced Tuesday.
The incident took place at around 3:45 p.m. on April 19 when the victim, a 13-year-old girl, was approached by the suspect, Tyrone Del Mar. Del Mar made sexually inappropriate comments to her before grabbing her under her shorts, according to a news release from the Burbank Police Department.

Charges and Legal Proceedings
Tyrone Del Mar was booked for felony sexual battery on a child. Following a thorough review of the case, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged the transient with one felony count of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14 and a misdemeanor count of child annoying.
Del Mar has been arraigned and remains in custody on $100,000 bail, according to the release.
