Accident – Death – Obituary News :

The Tragic Incident in Jackson, Tennessee

A defendant pleaded guilty in court yesterday, April 22, concerning an incident that occurred over two years ago in Jackson, Tennessee. According to 26th District Attorney General Jody Pickens, the incident unfolded when police noticed a vehicle speeding down interstate 40 and attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop.

A chase ensued, leading authorities through residential neighborhoods in North Jackson and eventually back onto I-40. The pursuit continued until the vehicle reached Exit 68, the Providence Road exit, where the driver lost control, resulting in a fatal crash.

The Grim Aftermath

Officers arrived at the crash scene to find the driver, a 17-year-old at the time, injured and the passenger, who was ejected from the vehicle, deceased at the scene. The driver was taken to a hospital and later charged with a multitude of felonies.

Two years later, now 19 years old, Jordan Kramer appeared in court to face the consequences of his actions. Yesterday, Kramer pled guilty to a series of felony charges, including Reckless Endangerment, Evading Arrest, and Vehicular Homicide.

A Sentence Handed Down

As a result of his guilty plea, Kramer will serve five years in a state prison. Attorney Mark Donahoe, who represented Kramer, stated that his client expressed remorse and regret for the tragic outcome of the accident during the court proceedings.

Despite the severity of his actions, Kramer will serve his felony charges concurrently, resulting in the five-year sentence. This case serves as a reminder of the consequences of reckless driving and the importance of accountability for one’s actions.
