Police in Odessa, Texas were called to the scene of a disturbance in the early hours of Monday morning. The incident, which involved gunfire and two vehicles chasing each other, led to the arrest of two individuals on drug-related charges.

The disturbance was reported from an apartment complex located in the 4600 block of Oakwood Drive. Upon arrival, officers found one of the vehicles involved, a Cadillac, on the premises. The driver of the Cadillac, identified as Alexander Hernandez, 30, attempted to flee but was apprehended by the authorities.

Another individual, Vivian Arreola, 32, was also detained at the scene. Arreola claimed that she was preparing to leave with Hernandez and had just placed her belongings inside the vehicle. Police discovered a Louis Vuitton bag and a backpack inside the car.

Upon further inspection, officers found two glass pipes, small baggies, and a scale in the Louis Vuitton bag belonging to Arreola. In the backpack, they discovered 19 grams of methamphetamine, several baggies, and a small scale. Both Hernandez and Arreola denied ownership of the backpack.

Subsequently, both individuals were arrested on suspicion of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance. Additionally, Hernandez faced charges of evading arrest. He is currently in custody at the Ector County jail with surety bonds totaling $51,500, while Arreola’s bond is set at $50,000.
