Shooting of Los Angeles County Deputy in West Covina Area

Authorities in Los Angeles County are currently on the lookout for a suspect in connection to the shooting of a deputy on Monday. The incident took place in the West Covina area, where a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy, identified as 43-year-old Samuel Aispuro, was shot while waiting at a red light on his motorcycle.

Deputy Samuel Aispuro’s Condition

Fortunately, the bullet did not pass through Deputy Aispuro as he was wearing a bulletproof vest at the time of the attack. He was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital where he is currently in stable condition. The quick response and medical attention he received likely saved his life.

Search for Suspect Leads to La Puente Area

Following the shooting, a search connected to the investigation led sheriff’s deputies to a neighborhood in the La Puente area. Deputies arrived at a residence with weapons drawn, but there were no immediate reports of any arrests being made. The authorities are continuing their search for the suspect to bring them to justice.
