Accident – Death – Obituary News : The recent discovery of hundreds of bodies buried deep in the ground and covered with waste has shocked the world. The horrific findings were made over the weekend at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, central Gaza, and at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City in the north. A total of 283 bodies were recovered at Nasser Hospital, with 42 of them identified.

**Al-Shifa Discovery**

The situation only worsened as more bodies were found at Al-Shifa Hospital, the enclave’s main tertiary facility before the conflict erupted on 7 October. The hospital was the focus of an Israeli military incursion to root out Hamas militants, which ended earlier this month. The devastation left most equipment reduced to ashes.

**Mounting Toll**

The toll of the conflict is staggering, with over 34,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza as of 22 April, including 14,685 children and 9,670 women. Another 77,084 have been injured, and over 7,000 are assumed to be under the rubble. The High Commissioner’s office highlighted the disproportionate impact on children, with a child being killed or wounded every 10 minutes.

**Türk Warning**

UN rights chief Volker Türk expressed horror at the destruction of hospitals and the reported mass graves. He called for independent investigations into the deaths and warned against a full-scale Israeli incursion of Rafah, where an estimated 1.2 million Gazans are trapped.

**Massive Settler Attacks in West Bank**

In the West Bank, grave human rights violations have continued unabated, with reports of massive settler attacks facilitated by the Israeli Security Forces. The violence, organized with the support of the ISF, led to a 50-hour operation into Nur Shams refugee camp and Tulkarem city, resulting in the deaths of 14 Palestinians, including three children.

The ISF’s actions have been condemned for their excessive use of force and apparent extrajudicial executions. Dozens were detained and ill-treated, with reports of wanton destruction on the camp and its infrastructure.

In the face of these atrocities, the world must come together to demand justice for the victims and strive for peace in the region. The suffering of innocent civilians, especially children and women, cannot be ignored, and those responsible for these heinous acts must be held accountable..
