A heartbreaking incident occurred on April 19 in Catskill, New York, where state police are currently investigating a fatal crash that took place on I-87 northbound near mile marker 108.9, between Exits 20 and 21.
Details of the Crash
On the fateful day at approximately 6:41 p.m., law enforcement received a report of a one-car rollover crash. The preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford Escape travelling northbound in the passing lane veered off the road, crashed through the guiderail, and collided with an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn.
The Victim
The driver of the Ford Escape was identified as Regina Levine, a 66-year-old resident of Amsterdam. Following the crash, Levine was rushed to Albany Medical Center in critical condition. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of medical staff, she succumbed to her injuries on April 22. The loss of Levine has deeply impacted the local community and her loved ones.
