Two Indian students, Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Parsi, tragically lost their lives in a traffic collision near Lake Pleasant in Arizona. The incident took place on April 20, around 6:18 pm on Castle Hot Springs Road, just north of State Route 74.

Details of the Collision

The fatal collision involved two vehicles, a white 2024 Kia Forte and a red 2022 Ford F150. The preliminary investigation by Peoria Police revealed that the driver of the red F150 was travelling southbound on Castle Hot Springs Road, while the white Kia Forte was heading northbound. The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation.

Victims and Survivors

The red F150 had one occupant who sustained serious injuries but has since been released from the hospital. The white Kia Forte, on the other hand, had three occupants. The driver was also treated for serious injuries and released, but tragically, Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Parsi succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Arizona State University has mobilized its International Students and Scholars Centre, along with other support services, to assist the friends, roommates, and student groups of the victims during this difficult time. The university is offering counselling and housing support to those affected by this heartbreaking loss.
