A Tragic Accident Near Lake Pleasant Claims Lives of Two Indian Students

Two Indian students from Telangana, 19-year-old Nivesh Mukka and 19-year-old Goutham Parsi, tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision near Lake Pleasant in Arizona. The two young men were studying as international students at Arizona State University when the fatal accident occurred.

Details of the Accident

The Peoria Police Department responded to a report of a collision on Castle Hot Springs Road, just north of State Route 74. The collision involved two vehicles – a white 2024 Kia Forte and a red 2022 Ford F150 – that collided head-on. The driver of the red F150 was traveling southbound while the white Kia Forte was heading northbound. Both Mukka and Parsi succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the accident, while the driver of their vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries but has since been released.

Investigation and Reopening of the Area

The cause of the collision is still under investigation by the authorities. The area where the accident took place was closed for several hours during the investigation but was reopened for normal traffic the following morning. The police expressed their condolences to the victims and their families, acknowledging the efforts of those who provided aid during the tragic incident.
