Indian Students Killed in Traffic Collision Near Lake Pleasant, Arizona

Two Indian students studying in the United States tragically lost their lives in a traffic collision near Lake Pleasant in Arizona. The victims, identified as 19-year-old Nivesh Mukka and 19-year-old Goutham Parsi, were both enrolled as international students.

The fatal incident took place on April 20 around 6:18 pm on Castle Hot Springs Road, just north of State Route 74. The collision involved two vehicles, a white 2024 Kia Forte and a red 2022 Ford F150.

According to the Peoria Police, the driver of the red F150 was travelling southbound on Castle Hot Springs Road, while the white Kia Forte was heading northbound. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

The red F150 had one occupant who was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but has since been released. The white Kia Forte had three occupants, with the driver also sustaining serious injuries but being released from the hospital. Unfortunately, Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Parsi succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Arizona State University has stated that the International Students and Scholars Centre is working closely with the dean of students, counselling services, and housing representatives to provide support to the student groups, friends, and roommates of the victims.
