A devastating accident occurred in Ahmedabad on April 19, resulting in the tragic death of a motorist. The incident took place near the bustling Bhulabhai Park crossing, where a speeding Gujarat state transport bus collided with a two-wheeler, instantly crushing the rider underneath its wheels.
The victim, identified as 52-year-old Navin Patel, tragically lost his life at the scene of the accident. Reports indicate that Patel was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, which may have contributed to the severity of his injuries.
A CCTV footage capturing the harrowing accident has since gone viral on various social media platforms. The video shows Patel, clad in a red shirt, maneuvering his two-wheeler across the road before the heart-wrenching collision takes place.

As the bus approached from the left side, Patel attempted to brake to avoid the impending collision. However, the sheer speed of the AMTS bus proved fatal as it ploughed into the two-wheeler, causing it to topple onto the road.
Tragically, the bus continued to barrel forward, ultimately running over Patel and trapping him beneath its massive frame. The horrifying sequence of events unfolded in a matter of seconds, leaving onlookers in shock and disbelief.
Following the incident, authorities swiftly took action against the bus driver responsible for the fatal crash. The driver was immediately relieved of duty and subsequently apprehended by law enforcement officers. Charges were filed against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicle Act.
Additionally, the private operator of the bus, identified as Arham, faced severe repercussions for their role in the tragedy. The AMTS imposed a hefty fine of Rs 2 lakh on the operator as a deterrent against such negligent practices in the future.
