In a heartbreaking update, human remains found in Fayette County have been positively identified as 17-year-old Kaitlyn Whoolery, who went missing in November last year.

Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele commented on the location of the remains, stating that they were hidden in a place that would not have been easily found unless someone was specifically looking for them.

Whoolery, who was under the care of Children and Youth Services at a detention center, was allowed to go home for Thanksgiving. Tragically, she walked away from her family’s home that night and was reported missing.
