Accident – Death – Obituary News : Man Arrested in Connection with Washington Parish Kidnapping Case
A man has been arrested in Washington Parish in connection with a kidnapping case, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on Monday, April 22. The arrest came after a heavy law enforcement presence was reported in various areas including Highway 16 near the Skeet Club, Bogue Chitto State Park, Bonner Creek, and Highway 25.
Residents were advised to avoid these areas and to be on the lookout for a person of interest, identified as 37-year-old James Ballard, who was considered dangerous by police. However, Louisiana Probation and Parole Tactical Team agents were able to locate Ballard at Bogue Chitto State Park and took him into custody.
Ballard was found lying in a ditch and surrendered swiftly by raising his hands, facilitating his seamless apprehension, according to the WPSO. The investigation into the kidnapping case is ongoing, and the WPSO has not released additional information at this time.
