The tranquility of the night was shattered when a violent altercation took place, leaving one woman with severe stab wounds. Jahliesa Nechelle Robinson, 33, of Sebring, has been arrested and charged with attempted homicide in connection with the incident.
Details of the Incident
The Sebring Police Department responded to a call regarding a stabbing event at HCA Florida Highlands Hospital around 10:43 p.m. Officers found the victim, who had sustained multiple lacerations to her face, chest, and back. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was rushed to the emergency room for treatment.
According to witnesses, the altercation began inside The Spot, where Robinson allegedly instigated a confrontation with the victim and her friends. The situation escalated when Robinson inexplicably threw a glass of water at the victim before following her outside the establishment.
Witness Accounts
One witness recounted seeing Robinson and the victim engaged in a physical struggle outside The Spot, with Robinson reportedly on top of the victim. Blood was visible on the victim, who repeatedly claimed that she had been stabbed by Robinson. Another witness corroborated this account and described the knife used in the attack as being between seven to 10 inches long.
When questioned by investigators, Robinson denied possessing a knife and claimed to be unaware of the severity of the victim’s injuries until she saw blood. However, a search of The Spot led to the discovery of a missing knife from a knife block under the bar, which belonged to the owner of the establishment, who is Robinson’s sister.
