Bishkek: A 20-year-old medical student from Andhra Pradesh tragically lost his life after being trapped in snow at a picturesque waterfall in Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday. The young student, identified as Dasari Chandu from Anakapalli district, met with this unfortunate incident.

Following the conclusion of his university exams, Chandu decided to visit a waterfall in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday along with his fellow students and friends from Andhra Pradesh. Unfortunately, he got stuck in the snow, leading to the heartbreaking outcome.

Dasari Chandu, the second son of Bhima Raju, who runs a halwa business, had moved to Kyrgyzstan a year ago to pursue his MBBS studies. His family is now appealing to the Indian government to assist in repatriating his body back to his hometown.

Anakapalli MP B. Venkata Satyavathi has taken up the matter with Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, who promptly reached out to Indian embassy officials in Kyrgyzstan. Reddy has requested all necessary support to facilitate the return of Chandu’s mortal remains to his grieving family.

As more details continue to emerge, the community mourns the loss of a promising young individual whose life was cut short in a tragic accident far from home.
