In a devastating turn of events, two drug-addict men have been arrested for allegedly stabbing to death a 30-year-old private company employee in Gurugram. The incident took place in the wee hours on Tuesday at a T-point in Sector 37, Gurugram.
Details of the Incident
The victim, identified as Avinash alias Rikki, was a native of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh and worked at a private company near Khandsa. As he was returning from work around 1:00 am, he encountered the accused who started misbehaving with him, leading to a fatal altercation.
The accused, identified as Mohit and Sandeep alias Sandy, allegedly stabbed Rikki multiple times in the chest before fleeing the scene. Despite being rushed to PGIMS in Rohtak, Rikki tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Immediate Police Action
Following a complaint by the deceased’s father, the police swiftly registered an FIR under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC. Both accused were apprehended within hours of the incident. Mohit resides in Sector 5, while Sandeep resides in the Saraswati Enclave in Gurugram.
The spokesperson for Gurugram Police stated that the accused confessed to the crime, revealing that they were intoxicated at the time of the altercation. Investigation into the motive behind the attack is ongoing, as the victim and perpetrators were not acquainted prior to the incident.
