Two Men Stabbed to Death in Gurugram
In a horrifying incident that shook the residents of Gurugram, two drug-addict men allegedly stabbed a 30-year-old private company employee to death in the early hours of Tuesday. The victim, identified as Avinash alias Rikki, a native of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, was attacked at the T-point of Sector 37 while returning from work.
Details of the Incident
The tragic incident took place around 1:00 am when the victim was confronted by the accused who started misbehaving with him. This led to a heated altercation between them, culminating in the accused stabbing Avinash multiple times in the chest before fleeing from the scene. Avinash was left critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries at PGIMS, Rohtak.
Arrest of the Accused
Following a complaint lodged by Bijender Singh, the deceased’s father, an FIR was registered under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The swift action by the Gurugram Police led to the arrest of both accused within hours of the incident. The arrested individuals were identified as Mohit (25) from Sector 5 and Sandeep alias Sandy (25) from Saraswati Enclave in Gurugram.
Police Investigation
The spokesperson of the Gurugram Police revealed that the accused were in a drunken state at the time of the incident. It was disclosed during questioning that the altercation between the accused and the victim was spontaneous, and the two parties were not acquainted with each other prior to the fatal encounter. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter to uncover any additional details surrounding the motive behind the attack.
