Robbinsville Township, NJ (22nd April 2024) – A tragic accident in Robbinsville claimed the life of a man from Pennsylvania in the early hours of the morning. The incident occurred at approximately 2:17 a.m. near milepost 64.1 on the New Jersey Turnpike. The chain of collisions began when two BMWs, a 428i and an X3, collided, causing both vehicles to break down. The situation escalated when a third BMW, a 328i traveling southbound, crashed into the disabled 428i. The driver of the 328i managed to park the vehicle on the right shoulder and exited the car, standing near the roadway. A Hyundai passenger vehicle traveling south then struck the disabled 428i and tragically hit the pedestrian, identified as 30-year-old Alton Smith from Levittown, PA, who succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Hyundai sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The authorities in Robbinsville are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
