Tragic Off-Road Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Des Moines Teen
Over the weekend, a devastating off-road motorcycle accident took place in Polk County, Iowa, resulting in the tragic loss of a 16-year-old Des Moines resident. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as Zachary Brennecke.
At approximately 6:22 p.m. on Saturday, the sheriff’s office received multiple 911 calls reporting a motorcycle crash in the vicinity of NE 118th Ave. and the South Skunk River, north of Bondurant.
Details of the Accident
Reports indicate that two juveniles were riding separate motorcycles at the time of the incident. Unfortunately, one of the riders, Zachary Brennecke, was involved in a tragic accident that claimed his life. Despite efforts to save him, Brennecke succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
