Tragic Collision Claims Two Lives in Chattogram City

Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a devastating collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Boalkhali upazila, located in the bustling city of Chattogram on Monday morning. The incident took place around 6:30am in the Raikhali Pool area on the Arakan road in the upazila.

The victims of this heart-wrenching accident were identified as Delwar Hossain, a 30-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, and Mizanur Rahman, a 32-year-old fish trader by profession. According to witnesses, Mizanur was en route to the Gomdandi Fish Market in Boalkhali to purchase fish when tragedy struck.

Reports from Boalkhali Police Station’s officer-in-charge Ahsab Uddin indicate that the sand-laden truck collided head-on with the auto-rickshaw, resulting in the untimely demise of Delwar at the scene and Mizanur succumbing to his injuries at the Boalkhali Upazila Health Complex.

Following the incident, the bodies of the deceased were transported to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for further examination. The police have taken control of the truck involved in the collision, although the driver managed to flee the scene before authorities arrived.
