In a heartbreaking incident that took place late Sunday night in Agara village of HSR Layout, Bengaluru, a one-and-a-half-year-old toddler named Shazia Jannat lost her life after being run over by an SUV driven by her own father.

The tragedy unfolded around 11.25 pm when Shazia’s family returned from a relative’s wedding in Channapatna. As they arrived home, Shazia, her mother, and other family members got out of the SUV. It was at this moment that the unimaginable happened.
Shazia, innocently standing outside her home, was caught under the offside wheel of the vehicle as her father unknowingly moved it. Tragically, her father was unaware of the accident and drove away from the scene. It was only when other family members informed him that he learned about the devastating turn of events.

The HSR Layout traffic police swiftly took action and registered a case against the father under IPC section 304 A for causing death by negligence. He was subsequently arrested and later released on bail as the investigation continues.
