Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Community Rallies to Search for Sade Robinson’s Remains

Dashod Crutchfield, a concerned community member, is among many volunteers who have taken it upon themselves to search for the remains of 19-year-old homicide victim Sade Carleena Robinson in Milwaukee. Crutchfield, like many others, feels that law enforcement is not doing enough to prioritize this case and bring closure to Robinson’s family.

Last week, more body parts believed to belong to Robinson were found by an individual on a beach in South Milwaukee. Maxwell Anderson, who was charged with Robinson’s murder, remains in custody with bail set at $5 million.

Emotional Impact on the Community

The discovery of Robinson’s remains has stirred feelings of anger, fear, and frustration in the community. The nature of the crime has evoked memories of past tragedies, prompting calls for more safety measures and awareness about missing and murdered Black women and girls.

Robinson’s mother, Sheena Scarbrough, expressed her frustration with the pace of the investigation, as parts of her daughter’s body are still missing, making it difficult to plan for a funeral or cremation service.

Launching Sade’s Voice for Awareness

In response to the tragedy, Scarbrough and her college friend Erika Brown are launching a nonprofit organization called Sade’s Voice. The foundation aims to raise awareness about missing and murdered Black women, advocate for policy changes, and empower communities to become advocates in similar cases.

Sade’s Voice will officially launch on May 10, which would have been Robinson’s 20th birthday. The goal is to bring resources, awareness, and policy change to families facing similar situations.

Law Enforcement Response

Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman addressed concerns about law enforcement’s response to the case, emphasizing that efforts have been ongoing 24/7. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, as the lead agency, is coordinating with multiple entities to continue the investigation.

Despite community frustration, law enforcement officials stress the importance of protecting the integrity of the case and conducting a thorough investigation. They appreciate the assistance of the public in the search for Robinson’s remains.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers to provide tips anonymously.

As the community continues to search for answers, Scarbrough remains hopeful that justice will be served for her daughter, Sade Robinson.
