The Tragic Passing of Jose Dominguez in a Traffic Accident in Las Vegas
Heartbreaking news has emerged from Las Vegas, where a 43-year-old bicyclist, Jose Dominguez, tragically lost his life following a collision with a vehicle earlier this month. The incident took place on North Nellis Boulevard, north of East Bonanza Road, in a bustling area of the city.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Dominguez sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a Honda while attempting to cross the road in what was described as an unsafe manner. The driver of the Honda, who was travelling north on Nellis Boulevard, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Following the collision, Dominguez was rushed to UMC’s Trauma Unit in an ambulance, where he was initially listed in critical condition. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

This incident marks the 53rd traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for the year 2024. The Collision Investigation Section of the LVMPD is currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic loss of life.
