Tragic Motorcycle Collision Claims Two Lives in Corentyne

Two motorcyclists tragically lost their lives in a devastating crash that occurred on Friday night along the Williamsburg Public Road in Corentyne, Berbice Region Six. The incident, which took place around 8:30 pm, left a third individual critically injured with a fractured skull.

The deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Vekash Tulsi from Lot 90 South First Street in Letter Kenny, Corentyne, and 22-year-old Rondy Emmanuel from Lot 167 Williamsburg, Corentyne. Tulsi was the rider of motorcycle CM 2969, while Emmanuel was the rider of motorcycle CM 50. The pillion rider, identified as Veeram Seecharran, 17, was with Emmanuel at the time of the accident.

The collision occurred when the two motorcyclists crashed into each other head-on. Reports from the police indicate that Tulsi was travelling west along the southern drive lane of Williamsburg’s Public Road, while Emmanuel was heading east along the northern drive lane, both allegedly at a high rate of speed. Emmanuel lost control of his bike, veering into Tulsi’s path, resulting in the fatal collision.

Following the accident, all three individuals involved were found unconscious and rushed to Port Mourant Public Hospital. Tragically, Tulsi was pronounced dead upon arrival, while Emmanuel succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment. As of the latest update, Veeram Seecharran remains in critical condition with a fractured skull at New Amsterdam Public Hospital.

The community of Corentyne is left mourning the loss of two young lives in this tragic incident. The authorities are currently conducting investigations to determine the cause of the collision and any contributing factors.
