A 35-year-old graphic designer, Tajinder Sharma alias Teji, met a tragic end in a violent incident that took place near Nijjer Chowk in Kharar. The incident occurred past midnight on Friday, when Tajinder was stabbed in the neck and abdomen following a verbal altercation with five individuals, including a woman. The accused have been identified as Sonia, Jamah from Behlolpur, Kapurthala, and Dheeraj, Parteek, and Karan, all residents of Maloya, Chandigarh.

Details of the Incident

The victim, Tajinder Sharma, had called the accused to the market near Nijjer Chowk to resolve a misunderstanding. Tajinder, originally from Hathan village in Malerkotla, was residing in Kharar where he worked as a graphic designer for a software company. On the fateful night, Tajinder and his friend Gagandeep Singh were waiting in a Maruti Swift Dzire when the accused arrived on a Honda Activa and a Hero Splendor Plus motorcycle.

During the altercation, Sonia, Karan, Dheeraj, and Parteek attacked Tajinder, leading to his fatal injuries. Despite Gagandeep’s attempts to intervene, the accused fled the scene, leaving Tajinder severely wounded. He was rushed to a hospital in Phase 4, Mohali, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Victim’s Aspirations and Family

Tajinder Sharma had dreams of moving abroad and had an appointment for biometric enrolment at the Canadian embassy on the day of his tragic demise. Apart from his work as a graphic designer, he was actively seeking freelance opportunities to supplement his income. His untimely death has left his widowed mother, younger sister, and younger brother Karanvir Singh devastated.

Karanvir Singh has demanded swift justice for his brother’s murder, urging the authorities to apprehend the culprits responsible for the heinous crime. The family and friends of Tajinder Sharma are in shock and mourning the loss of a talented individual who had a promising future ahead.
